In March of this year, we went to the Veggie World Fair in Utrecht, the Netherlands. We ate a lot on this day and picked up a few vegan items to review. One of the items is YumEarth Organics’ fruit snacks. It’s great to see more vegetarian and vegan gummy options available on the market. We’ve tried brands like Goody Good Stuff, Veggie Percy and Katja (Dutch brand) before. They definitely didn’t disappoint us, so let’s have a look at the taste and texture of YumEarth Organics.

Taste and texture
As soon as we opened the bag, we could strongly smell the fruit flavours. There are 4 flavours in this pack: banana, cherry, peach and strawberry. Each flavour has its own fruit shape. The cherry is a little harder to distinguish from the peach because their shapes are a bit similar, and they only have slightly different colours.
They aren’t overly sweet and do taste like the actual fruit. Though the strawberry has a milder flavour. The banana has a weird taste to be honest, but we don’t dislike it. Our favourite is the peach because it has a nice scent and the flavour is spot on. The texture of the gummies is chewy but not as elastic as the regular ones. It’s firmer and less sticky, so it doesn’t stick to your teeth that much.
It’s a very nice option for (vegetarian or vegan) kids, because they don’t use artificial colouring and flavours. It tastes like the regular gummies but minus the gelatine. Too bad nothing like this existed when we were young. We would consider buying it again for on the road and if it’s available in the regular stores in the Netherlands. Though we would expect a bit more for this price.
